NHL rumors
TSN Thursday’s insider trading
1 . Tanner Pearson possibly not on the move.
They report that the Canucks would like to keep Tanner Pearson if they can. Apparently Canucks GM Jim Benning will try to work out some sort of contract agreement wither a on paper or handshake deal. Tanner Pearson has been a welcomed vetran with the young Canucks and has played well on the second line with Bo Horvat. Also if they can’t come to terms on any type of deal, and of course do not want to let him walk for nothing then they would probably trade him ro a Stanley Cup contender.
2 . Calgary looking for right shot right winger.
Calgary could be in the market for a right shot right wing top six forward. Calgary has the least amount of goals in the North Division a Division where you must score to win. Elias Lindholm played really nicely on the first line but after being moved to second line center it created a void on the first line. Calgary tried depth guys like Dominic Simon and Josh Leivo but hasn’t found chemistry yet. There will be a few big names circling but the player I am keeping a eye on is Taylor Hall. He has 2 goals and 11 assists in all the Sabres games and is averaging just over 19 minutes of ice time and he could played on a line with Gaudreau and Monahan. A little something to keep a eye on if the Sabres make Hall available.
3 . Washington looking for vetran goalie.
Washington is currently using to young goalie’s Vitek Vanecek and Ilya Samsonov and were wondering if maybe they go and get a Vetran Goaltender. This makes a lot of sense as most cup contenders have at least one experienced goalie. The most likely fit I see is Deven Dubnyk. He currently has a .892 SV% and 3.46 GAA in 6 starts for the Sharks. San Jose will most likely be sellers at the deadline and Dubnyk could be a backup with experience.
