 Boston 5 Washington 1 Final

Boston was able to beat Washington thanks to Boston’s perfection line. Brad Marchand had two goals (11 and 12) and a assist, Patrice Bergeron had a goal (9) and assist, Charlie Mcavoy had two assists, and Trent Frederic (3) and Nick Ritchie (8) also scored for the Bruins. David Pastrnak (1G-5A-6P) and Brad Marchand (3G-4A-7P) each currently have a four game point streak. Jaroslov Halak made 31 saves in his first start since allowing 7 goals against NYI last Thursday. The Bruins currently have a three game point streak. The lone lineup change was for Boston where Charlie Coyle went back into the lineup for Sean Kuraly. Jacob Vrana (8) was the lone Washington goal scorer. Lars Eller had his point streak end at four games. Vitek Vanecek let in four goals on 18 shots and was replaced by Ilya Samsonov who made six saves in relief. The loss ended Washington’s four game winning streak and six games point streak.

Washington is T1st in the East 13-6-4 record, 30 points, 5 points above the playoff line, 23 games played.

Boston is 3rd in the East 13-5-3 record, 29 points, 4 points above the playoff line, 21 games played.



Chicago 4 Tampa Bay 3 Final/So

Chicago once again gets help from Kane and Debrincat to come back from 2 down to beat Tampa Bay in a shootout. Alex Debrincat scores twice (13 and 14), Adam Boqvist and Patrick Kane had two assists and Dominik Kubalik scored (9) and Philip Kurashev got the lone shootout goal. Alex Debrincat currently has a eight game point streak (6G-6A-12P). Malcom Subban made 39 saves in his third start in the past five games. Chicago has a three game point streak and has won seven of their last ten games. The only lineup change was for Tampa where they took out Jan Rutta and put in and Erik Cernak. Alex Killorn had a goal (5) and assist, Ondrej Palat had two assists, and Anthony Cirelli (7) and Ryan Mcdonagh (2) each scored for Tampa Bay. Curtis Mcelhinney made 24 saves in his fourth start of the season. Tampa Bay’s six game winning streak ended with the loss but now has a seven game point streak.

Tampa Bay is 1st in the Central 16-4-2 record, 34 points, 9 points above the playoff line, 22 games played.

Chicago is 4th in the Central 13-7-5 record, 31 points, 6 points above the playoff line, 25 games played.



Minnesota 5 Arizona 1 Final

Three first period goals lead to Minnesota’s win over Arizona. Mats Zuccarello (4) and Jordan Greenway (4) each had a goal and assist while Kirill Kaprizov and Marcus Foligno each had two assists and Brad Hunt (1), Nick Bjugstad (4) and Kevin Fiala (7) each scored for the Wild. Kaapo Kahkonen made 20 saves in the win. Minnesota won after losing back to back games. The only lineup changes were for Minnesota where they put in Zach Parise and Brad Hunt and took out Gerald Mayhew and Carson Soucy. Clayton Keller (8) got the lone goal for Arizona. Antti Raanta made 22 saves in his third consecutive start. Arizona has lost three of their last four games.

Minnesota is 4th in the West 13-7-1 record, 27 points, 4 points above the playoff line, 21 games played. 

Arizona is 6th in the West 10-10-3 record, 23 points, 4 points back of a playoff spot, 23 games played.



St.louis 3 Los Angeles 2 Final/OT

St.Louis used a late comeback to defeat LA in overtime. Ryan O’Rielly had three assists, David Perron scored twice (8 and 9), and Mike Hoffman had a goal (7) and assist for the Blues. David Perron currently has a five game point streak (3G-3A-6P) and Brayden Schenn has a four game point streak (2G-2A-4P). Ville Husso made 28 saves in his second start in three games. St.Louis now has a four game winning streak. The only lineup change was for Los Angeles where Rasmus Kupari and Matt Luff came in and Michael Amadio and Austin Wagner came out. Jeff Carter (5) and Dustin Brown (12) each scored for Los Angeles. Cal Peterson made 19 saves and has lost back to back games in overtime. Los Angeles has lost four straight following a six game winning streak.

St.Louis is 2nd in the West 14-8-2 record, 30 points, 7 points above the playoff line, 24 games played.

Los Angeles is 5th in the West 9-8-5 record, 23 points, 4 points back of a playoff spot, 22 games played.



Colorado 3 Anaheim 2 Final/OT

Colorado recovered from a two goal deficit to beat Anaheim in overtime. Valeri Nichushkin had two goals (3 and 4) and Brandon Saad had a goal (7) and two assists. Philip Grubauer made 26 saves for his third win in four games. The Avalanche have now won four of their last five games. Colorado had one lineup change as Nathan Mackinnon went out and Kole Sherwood came in and for Anaheim Josh Manson, Max Jones, and Derek Grant came in for Sonny Milano, Danton Heinen, and David Backes. The Ducks goal scorers were Adam Henrique (5) and Jacob Silfverberg (5). Cam Fowler’s five game point streak came to an end while Rickard Rakell extended his point streak to four games (2G-4A-6P). John Gibson who has started 20 of 24 games made 31 saves in the loss. Anaheim has now lost nine straight games.

Anaheim is 8th in the West 6-12-6 record, 18 points, 9 points back of a playoff spot, 24 games played.



Vegas 5 San Jose 4 Final/OT

Vegas recovered after a blowing 3-0 and 4-2 leads to beat San Jose in overtime. Max Pacioretty had two goals (11 and 12) and a assist, Mark Stone had two assists and Rielly Smith (4), Chandler Stephenson (7), and Alex Tuch (10) each scored for Vegas. Oskar Dansk made 25 saves in his first NHL game since 2017. Vegas is now on a five game winning streak. Each team had lineup changes for Vegas Nicholas Roy and Nick Holden went into the lineup for Tomas Nosek and Dylan Coghlan while the Sharks took out Alex True and Joachim Blichfeld and put in Joel Kellman and Kurtis Gabriel. Erik Karlsson had two assists and Brent Burns (5), Matt Nieto (4), Logan Couture (12), and Kevin Labanc (5) each score for San Jose. Martin Jones let in 3 goals in 8 shots before being pulled and Devan Dubnyk made 17 saves in relief. San Jose has lost back to back games and four of their last five games.

Vegas is 1st in the West 15-4-1 record, 31 points, 8 points above the playoff line, 20 games played.

San Jose is 7th in the West 8-10-3 record, 19 points, 8 points back of a playoff spot, 21 games played.
